Barbara from Harlem, as she is affectionately known, is a native New Yorker. Her young life was molded and shaped by her family of five children and in the environment of urban America where she attended elementary, junior high and high school. After the unfortunate collapse of her parents’ marriage, she was thrown into the pool of poverty and just scraping by. Life was not easy, but her mother as the main source of physical survival, worked hard and diligently to provide the essentials of life. She did not depend on the government to provide the meals and shelter that her children required; which was a lesson well learned and needed as Barbara faced life with her own five children and a failed marriage.

Like the vast majority of blacks, Barbara was instructed to register as a Democrat when she reached voting age as young married woman. This she did without questioning ...

Thank you, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani

Barbara From Harlem and her team cannot thank Mayor Rudy Giuliani enough for his endorsement and support of her powerful and dynamic memoir, "Escaping the Racism of Low Expectations."

The former Mayor NYC interviewed Barbara for his outstanding podcast, "Commonsense." He also mentioned Barbara's book on his WABC radio program, including his Sunday show.

Barbara's book explores and explains why so many Black Americans vote automatically for Democrats. However, she also discusses how blacks can leave the Democrat plantation.

Her memoir also details her journey from liberal-by-default to a conservative patriot.

With the help of former Mayor Giuliani, Barbara hopes to spread the America First message in her powerful book throughout the urban areas in the U.S.

Barbara from Harlem is on a mission, and she will not stop. Her next planned trip is to Philadelphia, where she will hand out copies of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
